Wandering Destination: Kedar-Gauri Temple, Bhubaneshwar

Kedar Gouri Temple, one of the eight Astasambhu Temples, is situated near the Mukteswar Temple, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, referred to locally by the name ‘Kedareshwar’.

People visit temple on several important occasions and takes the blessing of their beloved God and goddess after worshiping and oblation. Services of drummers and other instrument players are also asked for, to celebrate the significant occasion.

On that morning the lady in the picture wished to carry out some ritual at the temple. 



Morning time usually the worship time keeps the priests busy.

Location:

Temple is located near to Mukteshwar temple near to Raja-Rani Chauk. It is hardly a kilometer from Kalpana chauk and is on the way to Dhauli. Famous Raja-Rani temple is also near by.
