Collection of dramatic flower macros - II

In continuation with my earlier post, Dramatic flower macros, here I post another set of images. Getting closer to the flower with a true macro lens, absolutely changes the scene. Low depth of field, color gradients, minimalism, unseen elements, unusual angles and magnification of objects adds the characteristic macro effect to the photograph !

  4. Great captures. couple of questions
What are your camera settings for both pics?
The second picture, i feel it is little cold though. If I were to be you, i would raise the temperature a bit.

    1. Thanks Rajesh ji. I used Manual mode, 1/250*, TTL SB 900 ext flash and F2.8 to get max DOF at 1:1. As far as second picture is concerned, there is a situation. I shot it at around 12 in afternoon in harsh sun. And u know capturing yellow in bright light is tricky. And ultimately it depends on personal taste. I have tried to keep the colors as natural as possible and did some raw processing to achieve it !
