To assist overall development of every engineer passing out from NIT Rourkela, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are organised very frequently on the campus. NITRutsav, also known as NU or spring festival, is one of such event organised since 2005. It was started as a college fest and now grown as a national level event.
This year NU is being organised from 6th to 8th March and has 'Halloween' theme. Three-day long event is collage of workshops and competitions related to fine arts, performing arts, literary and many other categories.
Followed by the inauguration ceremony, musical symphony by Prof. Srinivas Satapathy from Central Sangeet Natak Academy was organised as a part of SPIC-MACAY program. Team presented raag Yaman in form of jugalbandi between flute and Satar. Next in series was jugalbandi between classical and electronic instruments. Program ended with instrumental music played by Saxophonist. The instruments were accompanied by Tabla and Mridunga. Here are some glimpses of the event for you.
